Le Lotus Restaurant

The InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa’s overwater Le Lotus Restaurant, perched above the lagoon, serves as its most upscale and romantic dining venue. Its idyllic location next to our sand-bottomed pool enables visitors to completely appreciate Tahiti and Moorea’s otherworldly splendor.

One of the nicest restaurants in Tahiti is located on stilts in a very romantic setting if reserve a table by the water with candles and the lagoon. Great menu items include, for instance, a delicious pair of scallops and Fenua fish over pumpkin mousseline with Tonka bean and beet pickles with cardamon.

The service was also excellent. At lunch, the menu is a little bit smaller. Of course, the price is a little excessive, and some may find the ambiance to be a little trendy, but there are other compelling reasons for the whole affair.

Le Lotus has a connection to the renowned three-star Michelin L’auberge de l’Ill in Alsace, France, which designed a number of the dishes. The sumptuous frozen coconut parfait with a chocolate shell and white mint ice cream might be the final course after beginning with the swordfish mousse on a potato and mussel risotto, duck breast with pan-fried figs, and candied onions. This sophisticated restaurant is led by one of French Polynesia’s top chefs, Franck Davi.
